You Get Digital Files
Your videos are delivered by download link — private, shareable, and playable on any device. USB drives are available too if you'd prefer a physical copy, and we can burn playable DVD copies on request.
We Return Your Originals
Every tape comes back to you in its original case at pickup. Always — no exceptions.

Drop off and pickup at our Williamsburg location are always free. We'll also come to you anywhere within our service area for a $25 pickup and return fee — waived for orders of $300 or more. Not sure if that applies to you? Just ask.

Not sure what kind of tape you have?
Most people don't know — that's normal. Compare your tape to the formats below. The labels are often unreadable; size and shape are the clearest clues.
The big rectangular cassette most families used — if it goes in a top-loading VCR, it's a VHS.
A smaller, palm-sized version used in early camcorders — often comes with an adapter that lets it play in a VHS deck.
A tiny digital cassette, smaller than a deck of cards, used in popular handheld camcorders — common for late-90s and 2000s home movies, including weddings.
Sony's small camcorder format, about the size of an audio cassette — the label usually says "Hi8" or "Digital8." Easy to confuse with MiniDV, so bring it in if you're not sure.
Sony's home video format, slightly smaller than VHS, that lost the format war — still has a devoted following, and we still transfer them carefully.
