Hi, I'm Brandon.
I digitize old tapes, film, slides and photos for families in and around Williamsburg — so you don't have to figure it all out yourself.
It started with my own family's tapes. I wanted to get our old home videos onto something we could actually watch and share, and it turned out to be a lot harder and more complicated than I expected.
So I kept at it. Over time I put together the equipment to do it properly — S-VHS decks with a time base corrector for video, plus what's needed for camcorder tapes, film reels and slides — and learned how to get good results from old, worn media.
I recently moved here from New Hampshire, and I'm glad to be in Williamsburg. Now I do the same work for other families. Jamestown Digitizing is a small, family-run business, and when you call or text, you're talking to the person who will actually handle your tapes.
Done for you, by someone local
One person, start to finish
The person who answers the phone is the person who handles your tapes. No call center, no hand-offs, no wondering who has your family's only copies.
You don't need to know the jargon
I know how confusing the formats and options are, because I went through it myself. Tell me what you have, or send a photo, and I'll sort out the rest.
Your media stays in Williamsburg
You drop it off here and pick it up here. Nothing gets boxed up and shipped across the country.
The right equipment for each format
VHS goes through S-VHS decks with a time base corrector, film is transferred in-house, and slides and photos are scanned at high resolution.
Tell us what you have. We'll do the rest.
A few quick questions, no commitment. We'll send you a real quote written by a real person — usually the same day.
Prefer to talk? We answer the phone and texts. We're a small, local operation and we'd rather have a five-minute conversation than send you a form letter. Not sure what you have? Text a photo.
